Bill’s: A Reliable Gluten-Free Dining Option Across the UK

Bill’s is a middle ground chain restaurant located in most cities in the UK including Manchester, London and Leeds. I have been to both the Leeds and Manchester Bill’s, where in Leeds I had the brunch menu and in Manchester I had the 2 course set dinner menu. Bill’s also provides a gluten free menu upon request and they present the meals with a flag that says ‘Allergy’ to make sure you’re given the correct meal.

Gluten-Free Dining at Bill’s: Cauliflower Buffalo Wings and Watermelon Salad

For the 2 course set menu I tried the cauliflower buffalo wings and the watermelon salad. Both I would recommend and you can see from the images they are presented well. The cauliflower wings had a buffalo sauce on them and were relatively crispy. I’d say that they could have been seasoned better as even though the taste of cauliflower wasn’t too strong, the buffalo sauce wasn’t distinct enough. You get quite a few wings, so it’s enough for just yourself and perhaps enough to share as a starter if your main was also large… or maybe I am just greedy.

A Delicious Salad: Refreshing and Nutritious

The watermelon salad was the highlight of the dinner. I was plated with a variety of ingredients which included two large slices of watermelon, feta, tomatoes, olives, pumpkin seeds and many other greek salad components. It had vibrant flavours and felt very healthy and nourishing, as well as being filling. The feta was cut into large cubes and with each bite, my fork was filled with delightful and nutritious food.

Would I Recommend Bill’s?

I would recommend Bills if you are wanting a nice dinner, perhaps expecting nothing too fancy but definitely a middle ground restaurant which caters for most allergies, and certainly coeliacs.
