In the heart of the northern quarter, this cutesy brunch and coffee house offers a great food spot for coeliacs.
The menu covers all brunch items including sandwiches, cooked breakfasts, acai bowls and pancakes.
The sandwiches can be made with gluten free bread and the granola in the acai bowls are gluten free! The pancakes however are not made gluten free so don’t come here if you want a sweet treat!

I tried the charcoal acai bowl and I would definitely recommend. I hadn’t had granola for a long time as it is normally made with gluten, so it felt like a treat. The frozen blended berries gave a tasty cold touch, mixed with the chai seeds, and fruit. The one thing I would change was the amount of coconut in the meal, I am not particularly keen on a strong coconut flavour and for me it was a bit too strong so every bite had that taste. I also ordered it with peanut butter which came warm in a small bowl, definitely gave me more than needed. It was nice to dip the granola in the peanut butter but I didn’t actually like putting the sauce in the bowl as the frozen blended berries made the peanut butter quite solid and it didn’t mix very well.

My partner ordered the Vouis Madame which was a toasted sourdough with ham, cheese and poached eggs. It looked delicious, and he ordered this with normal bread (not gluten free), but they did say they could make the sandwiches gluten free on request.
I also had a matcha latte which was sweetened with a vanilla syrup. (I am currently trying to get into matcha but only like it sweetened so far).
Hampton & Vouis is definitely a recommendation, and going on a saturday at midday most places were full with queues, but Hampton & Vouis had just enough space to get two of us in. Definitely a hidden spot that hasn’t hit the tik tok popularity just yet!
